About Us
PFLAG Wyoming/Luzerne County is one chapter of over 500 nationwide which are affiliated with the national organization based in Washington, D.C.
Our chapter has been serving our area for over 20 years under various forms, and we continue to work to fulfill the PFLAG mission of education, advocacy and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning persons and their friends and families.
Recognizing that having a friend or family member come out can be a trying experience for everyone involved, we are here to support you with the process of communicating effectively, finding resources, and coming to understanding and acceptance of each other. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome.
Meetings are held the second Friday of each month and details are announced on our Facebook page. Meetings include a little bit of everything including: information on equality legislation, sharing of individual concerns, event planning and support services. Movie screenings and speakers are also scheduled on a regular basis.
Volunteers are available for support by email and helpline. Please see the Support Page for more information.
